• There are 11 categories.
• Due to Patient Allotments, the number of competitors per category will be limited. Please see the table below for a breakdown of total competitors per category.

JUDGES
- There will be 33 judges in total, 3 per category.
- Judges will be selected by Southern Hospitality – celebrities, industry professionals, and patients with a valid medical cannabis patient card may apply via our website (NOTE – Judges associated with businesses that are competing in specific categories will be ineligible to serve as a judge in those categories, but may be selected to judge another category).
- All Categories will be judged OFF-SITE this year due to increased competitor pool
- Judging consists of 4 ratings; Look, Smell, Taste (application for topicals), and Effect.
- Each rating will be scored from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score per rating.
- All scores from the three judges are added up for a total score.
- The highest total score wins a first place trophy.
- The second highest score wins a second place certificate award.
- The third highest score wins a third place certificate award.
KITS
- 33 Judge Kits will be prepared in advance of the event.
- There will be 3 Judge Kits available per category, one for each judge.
- Each Judge Kit is for 1 category and contains all competitor samples in that category.
- Competition samples should be packaged using an unbranded 4×4 black mylar bag.
- Competition samples should not be packaged using original packaging, logos, or any brand identifying marks.
- Competition sample containers, like disposables and topicals, should be wrapped in black duct tape covering all logos and artwork.
- Competitors will write the category number (1-11 see CATEGORIES above) on the outside of the unbranded 4×4 black mylar bag.
- Judges can request their kits be available at any Rootdown location and Noble Labs Dispensary in Tylertown.
- Competition samples will be pennied-out to the judges. Total costs for kits will vary based on total competitors per category, but should remain under $.50 per kit.
- Judge Kits will be available for pickup starting Wednesday March 18th 2026.
COMPETITORS
- Entry without vendor space or event sponsorship – $300/each per category
- Entry with vendor space or event sponsorship – $150/each per category
- One entry per company per category
- Flower entry to provide (four) 1 gram packages, for a total of 4 grams.
- Pre Rolls entry to provide (four) ½ gram packages, for a total of 2 grams or (four) 1 gram packages, for a total of 4 grams.
- Infused Pre Rolls entry to provide (four) ½ gram packages, for a total of 2 grams or (four) 1 gram packages, for a total of 4 grams.
- Vapes entry to provide (four) ½ gram packages, for a total of 2 grams or (four) 1 gram packages, for a total of 4 grams.
- Concentrates to provide (four) ½ gram packages, for a total of 2 grams or (four) 1 gram packages, for a total of 4 grams.
- Edibles to provide (four) 25 mg packages, for a total of 100 mgs.
- Topicals to provide (four) bottles/containers with black tape covering all labels/artwork.
- All transportation is provided by Falcann.
- All products must be available for transport on or before Wednesday March 4th 2026. (the earlier the better)
